Esteban Batallán
A trumpet player of fiery temperament and virtuosy, Esteban Batallán currently serves as the Principal Trumpet with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, world-renowned for its long tradition of uniquely resonant, powerful and expressive brass playing, which launched him to international fame. He plays with power, personality, and sensibility, having won over audiences all over the world.
As section leader, the most important goal for Esteban is to maintain the world legacy and fame of the CSO brass section, led by the greatest orchestral brass players of the 20th century, Mr. Adolph Herseth, Mr. Dale Clevenger, Mr. Philip Farkas and Mr. Arnold Jacobs, among others, and at the same time, bring the section to a new and succesful era.
